We welcome you to our farm to celebrate maple season! While this time of year brings crazy weather changes, mud, and muck it is one of our favorite times of the year. We are excited to bring a variety of events for all ages to learn the process of maple syrup. Each event is a unique experience that will allow you to connect to us, learn how we make our maple syrup, and enjoy the talents of other local small businesses. We kick off our events in February. A reminder reservations are required for all events.
February 17th - Cozy up in your favorite PJs and head to our first event of the season - Pancake and Pajamas! A family fun dinner filled with activities and a pancake bar.
February 18th - In celebration of Mountain State Maple Days with tours and fill-a-jug. Opt for a morning hike through the sugarbush or a sugar shack tour and take a warm jug of syrup home with you!
February 21st - Family Roots Farm hits the city of Wheeling, WV. Chef Matt of the Vagabond Kitchen has created a maple specialty featuring Family Roots Maple Syrup and showcasing maple syrup is for more than just pancakes! The Vagabond incorporates maple syrup and sweet sorghum in their restaurant throughout the year.
March 13th - Pancake and Pajamas is back! No need to fret, PJs are optional. Join us for a family fun dinner filled with activities and a pancake bar!
March 15th - Gather in the sugar shack to welcome back Chef Darcy of Mountain State Essentials. Her creative flair and the love she puts into each dish creates a truly a one of a kind experience. During the dinner, we will be running our evaporator and providing a sugar shack only tour.
March 18th - Mountain State Maple Days take #2 with tours and fill-a-jug event. Opt for a morning hike through the sugarbush or a sugar shack only tour. Warm jugs of syrup will be available to take home with you! Kids can create their own labels of their memories from the day!
March 25th - To finish the season and get ready for spring we welcome Deb with Step by Step Painting back to create spring paintings! All supplies and breakfast are included.
